We are receiving "Error (0X0107, 0X0000)" when using the SCVMM Console application and trying to open the console of a VM. This only happens with workstations using SCVMM Console that are joined to a different domain than the Hyper-V/SCVMM Servers. Also...this only started happening after we applied Rollup Update 6.
So my workstation that I use every day is on Domain A and the SCVMM/Hyper-V servers are on Domain B. These domains are completely independent of each other (no trusts or anything). Before, Rollup Update 6, we could log into SCVMM Console on a Domain A workstation and view the Console of any VM just fine. We would be prompted for credentials to authenticate to the Hyper-V of the given VM and then the console view will load.
After applying Rollup Update 6, this is no longer possible. After entering the credentials, we get a certificate prompt error "The certificate is not from a trusted certifying authority".
If we log in SCVMM Console from a workstation/server that is on Domain B (the same domain the SCVMM/Hyper V servers are on)...we can view the console just fine.
The Hyper-V servers are not in a perimeter network or any restrictions along those lines.
Any idea what happened with Rollup Update 6 and the certificates?
