When you remove a virtual hard disk from a virtual machine in System Center Virtual Machine Manager 2012 R2

Hi Experts !!!

We are on W2012R2 Hyper-V with SCVMM2012R2.

"When you remove a virtual hard disk from a virtual machine in System Center Virtual Machine Manager 2012 R2, the .vhd file on the Hyper-V server is deleted without warning"

Is this a normal behavior for SVCMM 2012R2? If not how to stop this from happening in the future.
