Replace Update Server

Hi,

I'm replacing our existing Windows 2008 R2 WSUS server and need to point SCVMM at the new Windows 2012 R2 one. Using the GUI, it seems I have to remove the existing update server before adding a new one which will apparently also remove the update catalog, baselines etc.

Is there a way to replace the update server without losing the existing baselines? Can SCVMM be tricked into accepting a new server by editing a table in the database? Would it assume there is an issue with the agent and simply install 'properly' on the new server?
