Vmm service template downtime settings

Hi

I'm trying to figure out when I'll have downtime in changing service template settings or configurations, for example if i Change in the template the number of upgrade domains do I have downtime?

Assuming i Have one upgrade domain

if i chane hardware settings of a vm like disk or generation this should require downtime is that correct?

and removing a network card?

I' cannot find any in deep documentation on this
