Hi all, I've got several Windows 2012 hyper-v clusters set up and one of them is a four node cluster that is used for development purposes. Two different business units use this cluster and I've got two seperate clouds set up for them to be able to deploy and manage their own virtual machines. Right now, there is just one CSV on this cluster and both clouds deploy their virtual machines to this volume. We just recently upgraded our SAN so that we can create SMB file shares and assign them to this hyper-v cluster. What we'd like to do is set up VMM so that each business unit cloud has its own SMB file share to deploy their virtual machines to. Can VMM be set up so that when one of the cloud users from one of the business units deploys a virtual machine, it writes it to the file share that has been created for that business unit? We just want VMM set up so that when a virtual machine is deployed by a business unit cloud user, it just doesnt deploy the vm to the share that it sees as the best option for deployment. Can a cloud be tied to a specific share if multiple shares are defined to a cluster? Any feedback appreciated.
