No available connection to selected VM Network can be found._

I am testing VMM 2012.   Only have it set up on 4 hosts right now.  All are on the same subnet in the same location.

1 of the virtual hosts is Server 2012 (Let's call it 2012_1).   The others are 2008 R2 (2008_1, 2008_2, 2008_3).

When trying to migrate VMs that are powered off, 2008_1 and 2008_2 can migrate to each other, but not to the other two servers.   The rating for the other two servers says "No available connection to selected VM Network can be found."

2008_3 can migrate to ALL the other servers.

2012_1 of course can't migrate to any of the others because it is a newer version.

So why can't the first two servers migrate VMs to the other two?  OS-wise, they shouldn't be any different from 2008_3.   2008_3 is a newer install, but that shouldn't make a difference.

Any thoughts?
